BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the Coventry Township Senior Community Center, 335 E Willowview Dr., Coventry Township, OH 44319, to consider the following requests:

 

2022-03 Adam Guillod, 4815 Sandra Ave, New Franklin, OH 44319: Requesting a frontage width variance of 70’ from the required 100’ for a proposed residential lot in a R-1 zoning district at 1782 W Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Barberton, OH 44203 (6.03G).

 

2022-04 Don Boyer 562 PLD LLC dba Smoke on the Water, 562 Portage Lakes Dr., Akron, OH 44319:  Requesting a conditional use permit to operate a restaurant, bar and patio to include outside dining at Pick’s Harbor at a property located in a B-2 zoning district at 562 Portage Lakes Dr., Akron, OH 44319 (Article 11, Section 11.01B). This request was approved in May 2021, but the applicant has revised his application.

 

2022-05 Rod Pamer, 1707 W Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Coventry Township, OH 44319: Requesting a variance to split Summit County Parcel# 1909349 into 3 new lots with frontage on a private drive, accessible from both Hilltop and Steve Drives.  The proposed residential lots would be 2.8, 2.5 and 2 acres, respectively. The minimum area of lot or parcel of land in a R-1 zoning district is 30,000 square feet, or approximately 0.69 acres. Code requires frontage on a public street (Article 1, Definitions). This request was tabled in February, pending more information requested by the Board of Zoning Appeals.

 

The full text and drawings of the proposed variance requests are available for public viewing in the Coventry Township Zoning Office, from 8:00 to 12:00, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Coventry Township, Ohio 44319.  You must contact the Coventry Township Zoning Office at 330-644-0785 Ext. 2 or [email protected] to make other arrangements to view the plans or submit written statements before the hearing.   The public is invited to participate in this meeting.
