Trash & Recycling Program

The Board of Trustees established a Township-wide Trash and Recycling Program effective July 1, 2012 in conjunction with the City of New Franklin and Republic Waste Services. A five year contract was renewed beginning January 1, 2017.

Used Tire Recycling Program

Coventry Residents ONLY

This program allows Coventry Township Residents to drop off their used tires free of charge for recycling.

To schedule a date and time to drop off your used tires, please follow the step below:

Call the Coventry Township Road Maintenance Department at 330-644-0785 Ext 3 and speak to the Administrative Assistant to schedule a date and time to drop off your tires.

You will need to provide the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Number of tires
  • Size of tires

Once we have all the above information and we verify you are a Coventry Township Resident you will be given a date and time to drop off your tires.

Know what to throw

Piece of cardboard, metal can, and plastic bottleCardboard, paper, metal cans, plastic bottles and jugs.

Empty. Clean. Dry.

Keep all recyclables free of food and liquid.

Don’t bag it

Never put recyclables in containers or bags.

Paper & Cardboard

Flattened cardboard, newspapers, magazines, office paper and common mail.

Metal Cans

Beverage and food cans.

Plastic Bottles & Jugs

Food and liquid containers with the lids on.

The following items CAN NOT be recycled and should go in your regular trash container:

Chairs, gas tanks, batteries, wood, lawn mowers, light bulbs, doors, lawn furniture, children’s unwanted toys, swimming pool liners, windows, beds, microwaves, swing sets, flower pots, paper products, plastic bags, styrofoam, food, drywall, plumbing.
