NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Coventry Township Community Center, 335 E Willowview Drive, Akron, Ohio 44319, to consider the following requests:
2025-11: Dante Rini, 5374 Shadow Ridge Circle NW, North Canton, Ohio, (3351 Dorwil Court)
The applicant requests to be tabled to the October 14, 2025 meeting. The applicant is requesting two side-yard setback variances and one rear-yard setback. The proposal is for a new rear-yard facing residential deck. This property is located in a R-3 Residence District at 3351 Dorwil Court, Akron, Ohio 44319, Parcel Number 1905501, and is a lot of record. The side-yard setback variance on the north side is for 10 feet or 66.67% of the required 15 feet (Section 8.03.C). The side-yard setback variance on the south side is for 3.3 feet or 22.00% of the required 15 feet (Section 8.03.C). The rear-yard setback variance is for 10 feet of the required 25 feet or 45% of the required setback (Section 8.03.E).

The applicant requests a variance to allow the construction of a 128 square foot sign where a 50 square foot sign is permitted (Section 19.02.L.); the proposed sign is 256% of the allowable sign area. The subject site is located at 2650 South Main Street, Coventry Township, Ohio 44319, Parcel Number 1910131. This property is located in a B-3 General/Regional Business District and is a lot of record.
