The Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals, 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, Ohio, 44319,  will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday November 17th at 6:00 PM  VIA ZOOM, a web-based video teleconferencing provider, to consider the following requests:

2020-29 Paul & Ann Urbank, 3595 Edgewod Dr., Stow, OH 44224:  Requesting variances to construct a single family home in a R-1 zoning district located at 3564.5 Portage Point Dr., Akron, OH 44319.  Requesting a front setback variance of 13 feet from the required 60 feet to build 47 feet from the property line.  Requesting sideline setback variances of 2.333 feet and 9 feet from the required 15 feet to build 12.667 feet and 6 feet, respectively, from the property lines.  Requesting a rear setback variance of 17 feet from the required 45 feet to build 28 feet from the property line. (6.03A, C and E)Variance is contingent on Summit County DOSSS for public sewer connection and Summit County Public Health approval for well location.

2020-30 Timothy Canter, 83 Bayview Terrace, Akron, OH 4319:  Requesting a conditional use permit to operate a short-term rental for a property located in a R-3 zoning district at 3572 Peninsula Dr., Akron, OH 44319 (Article 28)

2020-31 Timothy Bess, 1777 Eastern Rd. Barberton, OH 44203:  Requesting a garage floor space variance to construct a 24’x40’ detached garage.  Garage floor space on the property totals approximately 1504 sq/ft including two detached accessory structures.  The permitted garage floor space for this property is 768 sq/ft. The property is located in a R-1 zoning district at 1777 Eastern Rd., Barberton, OH 44203 (6.03H)

2020-32 Jonathan Paul Fleming, 1570 Meadowspring Cir NW, Uniontown, OH 44685:  Requesting a garage floor space variance of 462 sq/ft from the permitted 768 sq/ft to construct a 20’x30’ attached garage.  Also requesting a front setback variance of 20 feet from the permitted 40 feet to construct the garage 20 feet from the property line for a property located in a R-2 zoning district located at 3374 S Main St. Akron, OH 44319. (7.03A, H)

The full text and drawings of the proposed variance requests are available for public viewing in the Township Zoning Office, from 8:00 to 12:00, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Due to the COVID19 pandemic, please call in advance to schedule an appointment.  You must contact the Coventry Township Zoning Office at  330-644-0785 Ext. 695 or  [email protected]  to make other arrangements to view the plans or submit written statements before the hearing.   The public is invited to attend this meeting online and voice comments they may have.
