BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 6:00 PM in the Coventry Township Townhall, 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, Ohio, 44319 to consider the following requests:

2020-06 Nellie Fitzwater 556 Killian Rd. Akron, OH 44319; Requesting additional garage floor space for a 24’x40’ carport, not to be enclosed, attached to an existing 40’x40’ detached garage for a property located in a R-1 residential district for property located at 556 Killian Rd.  (6.03I).

2020-07 Anthony Hillrich 778 Point Dr. Akron, OH 44319; Requesting a side line setback variance from the required 15 foot variance to 5.3 inches (variance will be 14.7) for a residential addition, three-season room located in a R-1 residential property located at 778 Point Dr. (6.03C)

2020-08 Frances Vislavsky 982 Bevan St. Akron, OH 44319; Requesting 336 square feet accessory building and a sideline setback variance of 2 feet to build 3 feet from the property line to replace an existing accessory structure in a R-2 residential district located at 982 Bevan St.

The full text and drawings of the proposed variance requests are available for public viewing in the Township Zoning Office, from 8:00 to 12:00, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 68 Portage Lakes Drive.  You must contact the  Zoning Office at  330-644-0785-695 or   [email protected]  to make other arrangements to view the plans before the hearing.     The public is invited to attend this meeting and voice comments they may have.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current COVID-19 epidemic and group gathering restrictions we will be calling each case in one at a time. Please make a note of the number assigned to your case. We will post this case number with the address being heard on the front door of Town Hall. Please stay in your vehicles or outside until the case number you are interested in is posted. Once the previous case has cleared the building and we clean surfaces we will post the next case number and allow people to enter for that case only. We will have limited well-spaced seating. We will make sure anyone who wishes to listen and or speak on an issue will have the opportunity to do so. We are also requesting that you wear a mask per Governor DeWine’s April 27th statement. We will do our best to keep the wait time in between cases as short as possible. We want to make sure the facility is clean for everyone’s safety. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
