SPECIAL NOTICE

A contract with the City of Akron has been awarded to our firm for Improving the Water Main on Various Streets in Coventry Township under the Portage Lakes Water Main Extension Project.

This construction will start on September 9, 2024. On this date, S. Turkeyfoot Rd. will be closed at Dorwil Dr. and Portage Lakes Dr. for 2 weeks until September 20.

A job of this nature needs the cooperation of many agencies. The City of Akron Water Dept. must coordinate with the contractor and all the utility companies. You may experience an interruption of utility services during construction. We assure you that we will work carefully to keep those interruptions to a minimum. This route will be open to emergency vehicle traffic.

Progress always brings inconvenience, therefore for your safety, we will maintain barricades and lights around all excavation areas. Please do not permit your children in the work areas or allow them to remove any barricades or lights around the project. Handicapped persons will be assisted on and off the site upon request. Traffic will be maintained with proper signs.

Water main installation on residential streets is expected this fall. A project
schedule and list of impacted streets will be communicated on future correspondence.
