Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals

The Coventry Township Board of Zoning Appeals, 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Coventry Township, Ohio, 44319, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, at 6:00 PM VIA ZOOM, a web-based video teleconferencing provider, to consider the following requests:
- 2021-05 Don Boyer, 530 PLD LLC, DBA Pick’s, 530 Portage Lakes Dr., Coventry Township, OH 44319: Requesting a renewal of a conditional use permit to operate a bar, restaurant, and banquet center on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of Pick’s Restaurant. The applicant is also requesting a renewal of a conditional use permit for outside dining and entertainment for Pick’s Restaurant, located in a B-2 zoning district at 530 Portage Lakes Dr., Akron, OH 44319. A renewal of these conditional use permits was granted at the March 2020 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. The request is continued from the March 2nd, 2021 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. (Article 3.00, Sections 3.06-3.09; Article 11.00, Section 11.01.B, Article 23, Section 23.20).
- 2021-06 Audrey Black Blum, 1535 S Hametown Rd., Akron, OH 44321: Requesting a front setback variance of 36 feet from the required 40 feet, a sideline setback variance of 6.3 feet from the required 10 feet and a rear setback variance of 9 feet from the required 40 feet for a two-story residential addition for a property located in a R-2 zoning district at 164 Wymore Ave., Akron, OH 44319. The request was approved in 2017 pending a recorded easement and purchase of adjacent State of Ohio property (Article 7.03A, C and E).
- 2021-07 Nicole Hale, 498 Dot Ct., Akron, OH 44319: Requesting a sideline setback variance of 8 feet from the required 8 feet to build on the side property line and a rear setback variance of 16.88 feet from the required 25 feet to build 8.12 feet from the rear property line to construct a 222 sq/ft attached deck, not to be enclosed, for a property in a R-3 zoning district located at 498 Dot Ct., Akron, OH 44319 (8.03C, E).
- 2021-08 Larry Hennon, 89 E Ingleside Dr, Akron, OH 44319: Requesting a minimum floor space variance of 692 sq/ft from the required 768 sq/ft and a front setback variance of 15 feet from the required 40 feet to build a 24×30, 720 sq/ft detached accessory structure 25 feet from the front property line for a property located in a R-2 zoning district at 89 E Ingleside Dr., Akron, OH 44319 (7.03A, H).
